10€ say not gonna happen until next friday... :)

Grinding this week and heat treatment next week

The problem with the billets was, someone rough ground the blanks down to size, ready for precision grinding of the profile... However, they went a bit too far and there was just enough material left, which wouldn't finish down as required.

Are you sure they are not just going to regrind the ones you sent them? :?

They won't be re-grinds. Apparently the negative radius profile and base circle diameter mean it could be done, but they would have a high wear rate and not last long. Hence, new blank billets being used ;)

Good stuff to hear!! I wonder how much there going to be once in production!

cams are ground already and in for heat treatment now. So, the head and cams should be back in the uk for some port work at the end of the week.

Will be interesting to hear reviews of these.

Most economical time to get them fitted would be when the cambelts are done eh?

Nooo, you've got that the wrong way around. You want them in as soon as possible - but change the belts while you're doing the work. ;)

There isn't an economical time to do them  economy isn't really a concern
Exactly.

However, it would be silly to do a belt change etc and then think about replacement cams 5K miles later :?
