Oh, as a postscript to this thread - it turns out the mystery catch is in fact part of the optional alarm kit. So unless I can source one from a breaker, I was getting quoted around £160 ex-VAT for an alarm kit that I'd more or less want to throw away. If anyone totals an alarmed car...

Would be interested to hear a price on your passenger seat- if you'd sell separately? My mechanism was a bit reluctant and I cracked my release handle the other day. Doubt anyone would sell just the lever by itself!

I'm miles away but have some black 17's, decent tyres but managed to do a good round of kerbing. Bad roads my way so think a bit more sidewall might help my ride. Not sure I could get to you but any interest?
