Does anybody know how to get the trim of above the speedo?

Thank Badman171

Just looking at it for you

it says unclip the instument panel visor and the picture shows 2 arrows going up so that gives me the idea to just pull it up or push the sides in to release the clips and push up at the same time.

I've done this before but I can't really explain it. You need to wedge something in the corners, to lever the thing out and undo the clips. Just be careful not to mash the plastic up. It's not hard once you've done it once though, lol.

i was bored so did it in a couple of mins,

Mine was a little bit rusty underneath as well, not sure how that has happened :s

yeah i was wondering that :? :? :?

Meh only a bit of surface rust. maybe it was just some metal filings that stuck to it and going rusty?

It could be a rusting block - that isn't the technical name - which is a piece of metal that hasn't been protected. This has the effect of "collecting" the ionised rust parts on one place on the car. There's a large one at the front offside of the RS.

Sounds like a logical idea I suppose, it's better to have the rust in one useless and invisible place than it is on all of the integral engine parts, lol.

First time I was told about it I'd never even thought about it. When the car was in a motorsport specialist last year he had it up on the ramps and was looking all around as he hadn't seen a 133 before and noticed it then, referring the 1*2 which had a similar point.

More likely to be a cheap bit of low-grade metal that they think doesn't matter 'cos nobody will ever see it...

The cause? All that condensation that collects in the car in this damp sh*tty weather we've been having. Just think, the working bits inside your doors will probably be like this too
