not a major step forward to the 2 so ill be keeping that for the time being and wait for the ipad 4 to come out see if there are any advancement in the technology.

Tbh the iPad 2 was/currently still is (Until the 16th March) the best tablet on the market. This is clearly just an evolution of the 2. I reckon if I didnt have the 2 I'd get the new one but like Ollie said, it aint enough of an upgrade from the 2.

Agreed. It's a general evolution with some good improvement (the A5X chip does look pretty awesome on paper), but no massive new innovations.

Why didn't they add the new features to the iPad 2 before that was released?

Oh, wait, more fan boy sales guaranteed!

Dont get me wrong, Apple products are great (except MacOS), I just cant stand the company and all their fan boys!

Retina on an iPad is a big deal. Have you ever tried using an iPad 2 after an iPhone 4/4S? It's vile.

have u noticed they not even calling it the ipad 3, its just the new ipad,

becasue theres only a few changes :p

My mrs bought me a 64gb iPad "3" for my birthday and I'm hugely impressed. I've only ever had the iPhone.

Only been using the iPad fora day and already it doesn't feel like a big iPhone but the iPhone feels like a mini iPad. Great bit of kit!!!!
