My car will not unlock with the the key fob and I have also tried my spare so it isn't the key. I've opened the door with the passenger physical lock however the car won't start as the immobiser is on and when I turn the key the alarm goes off!
 
5amp fuse in the glovebox.

Either pull all the 5 amp ones, or there's a thread stickied in the technical section with a picture of which one.
 
from the top of my head central locking fuses are found in 12 or 14 in the glove compartment
 
Thankyou!!! Lifesavers! I bet my neighbours hate me even more now than they originally did with my alarm going off constantly untill 11pm. Just cancelled my Renault roadside assistance, you guys should always be the first place to ask!
 
no worries man, best to investiage the central locking fuse and check the the body control module (UCH) fuse is dealt with by taking it out and putting it back in. some fuses have a life of their own
