Drove my car to work this morning and everything was all right. i got back in it on my break to nip to the shop and BOOM three new problems!!!

1st was when i started the car it wouldnt kick over. i tried again and it fired up, then the revs dropped and it sounded like it was going to stall but them picked up again.

2nd was when i pulled out of my parking space on full right lock it squealed like a pig!! and then everytime i turned right it squeaks really bad. turning left is fine but turning right makes the squeak. its coming from the drivers side wheel.

3rd thing was loss of power. the car is juddering really bad when i put my foot down and i dont mean gunning it. it happens in any gear just past 2k if i speed up slowly its ok but anything more than that it judders almost like changing up a gear too many at low speed. iv checked the spark plugs with a tester and they seem ok so im guessing its the coil pack. the cars in for a service on tuesday so will see if new plugs sort it out.

if anyone can suggest anything about the squeaking noise please do so...................... rant over!!!

Had this problem on my old GT minus the squealing, was due to a boost pipe popping off, mine had starting issues and no one could locate the problem so I got fed up and chopped it in for an RS...

I dnt think it's boost problems. After I pulled off and refitted the ht leads to check the plugs it ran better. But the problem was still there but not as bad.

Plugs? Leads? Coil pack? Will sort rough running I think. Starting problem is a *****, I get it only if parked on an angle and low on petrol otherwise no problem. The squealing I have no idea? Suspension or wheel rubbing?

Check for water around the throttlebody.

Not a clue about the second one :/

I really think the juddering is down to the sparks, coils or leads too. It's going in for it's 38k service on Tuesday so I hope new sparks will sort it out. Clearance is good around the wheels and nothing untoward. But it does sound like a squeaky spring. Iv just bought some lowering springs too so il have a good look at the strut and around that area when I fit them.

Got the car back today after its service took it to a Renault specialist in Blackpool (Autofix) they did a quick and top job. The juddering had now stopped so it looks like the culprits where the plugs as I thought. I'm going to order some new top mounts for when I lower the car so hopefully it with stop the squeak. The guy at the garage said its either the spring or the top mount so fingers crossed that will be sort soon too!!

Its back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The juddering, loss of power and hesitating has returned!! Its doing my nut in now!! Iv scanned the ecu for faults and its giving me p0300 (mutipul/random misfire) and p0301(cylinder 1 misfire) iv treated it with redex incase it was a dicky injector but it hasnt helped. The plugs are new only been in the car just over a week . They all seem to be sparking fine so that rules out the plugs and coil pack! Im starting to think its the injector on that cylinder. Any one shed any light on this before it goes back in the garage?? how easy are the injectors to pull out? Im thinking about swaping them around to see if I get a different fault code so if I swap cylinder 1 and 2 around and the code changes to p0302 then that would mean its the injector at fault? Would that be right??

Well first thing to do would be swap over the coil packs as it sounds like one is what they call breaking down under load. I would swap the coils around and try it on a little run I would be very surprised if a injector was faulty tbh .

I agree.

Also check the plugs and make sure they all have enough gap between the electrode and the body, just because they are new doesn't necessarily mean they aren't at fault so is best to just check them out too to rule it out.

In my experience injectors are not often then cause of your stated symptoms, although of course is not entirely out of the realms of possibility, just quite unlikely. The coils on these engines seem to be notrious for breaking down from what Renault's I've worked on in the past and from what I have been told through my collegeues experiences.

I would go with what poweller said and swap number 1 and 2 coils, take it for a run and go from there.

Cheers guys im gona try it some point today. Im stuck in work all weekend so il have to try it tonight . Iv driven to work this morning in it and its performs fine when I take it easy it just does it when I put my foot down abit. If iv not figured it out by monday its going back to the garage where I got it serviced and il put the blame on them till its sorted! Lol

Well from what you have just said it only does it when you giving it a bit , I would almost say 100% it's defo a coil pack on the way out

I can get one from euro car parts in blackpool for around £25! Fingers crossed it is the coil pack because it seems the cheapest solution. Lol

£33 from euro car parts sorry!
Seen them on ebay for £20-25 but id have to wait for them
I can pick up from euro car parts today!

Well that's what I try first as you got a code for a coil pack as well like I said I doubt it very much to be a injector faulty and it would also code different for a injector fault

Will have to wait and see! Lol hoping to nip down on my break so I could fit it tonight and see what happens in the morning.

Ok so the problems I had have now dissappeared! Bloody fantasic news!!!

Squeaking whist turning at low speeds- fixed buy lowering the car so could of been anything but now its sorted and that's all that counts lol

The juddering and loss of power under load was fixed by a new coil pack.

So for future reference fault codes p0300 and p0301 means its most certainly the coil pack at fault!!

So pleased its sorted, thanks for your help guys!! :D
