After loads of planning (and some buggering about) this is it....
Welcome to the First Annual 133.net & 197/200.net Charity Rolling Road Day
Charity? =
The Air Ambulance Service
Where? =
DynoTech
53 Nottingham Road
Ripley
Derbyshire
United Kingdom
DE5 3AS
(https://www.dyno-tech.co.uk/)
When? =
Saturday the 8th of December
Time? =
The event will start at 9am.
Cost? =
£30 (cash) for a power run, you will get a print out of the results.
Who can come? =
We can have a max of 30 cars done on the day, so these slots are being offered on a first come first served basis. (please see next post for the timings and solts especially if you would like one)
I am offering these out to 133.net members first (as I have been banging on about this on here for weeks) and in a weeks time I will also post this on Clio197/200.net.
Once it gets closer to the day of the event, if there are spaces left and you know of any none forum members that would be interested on filling a gap, let me know.
if you would like to come but dont want to dyno your car, you are more than welcome!
What does the charity get out of this? =
£10 for every car that gets dyno'ed. There will also be 'events' on the day to generate more money. Finally there will be the obligatory collection tin.
Im in!, what do I need to do now and on the day? =
Now
Get a slot!
On the day
-Make sure you car is fighting fit, much ridicule will be dished out for anyone that breaks down! tire pressures all sorted etc(ill have a pump just in case)
-Make sure you have your tow eye ready (maybe used to strap the car down)
-Get a print off of your slot number and attach it to your car.
If we can get the cars lined up in a rough order it will make things much easier on the day.
I want to help, what can I do?
On the day I could do with a hand getting the cars lined up etc, maybe manning a stall? mugging people for money? any help will be appreciated. PM me.
Anything else to witter on about? =
I have been in contact with Performance French Car Magazine (thanks Kev for the contact) and you never know the event may be featured.
I have now been in contact with the editor, if featured we need the following..
* Pix of each car on the rollers
* Pix of the owner of each car
* Loads of pix general pics
* All pix to be high res JPG's
* Quotes from members and the garage staff on the day
There will be space for a maximum of only 12 cars to be featured, so if we get all the stuff, ill get all the content together and we can have a vote, PFC say the most modded biggest power is the best bet.
