Just thought I'd share a picture from the weekend:

Went for a wee drive out to Ft William on Sunday as the weather was nice - roof down all the way!

You should have given me a shout. I'd have come along and drown out your stereo with the noisy one :)

Ah don't blame u that's what convertables are for. I used to live in oban and come back home quite often. Coming up to oban in a few weeks for a ross nobel concert.

Thanks folks, I'll give you a shout next time Neil!

Yeah I seen the weather and was about to head north but I followed the blue sky and ended up there haha!

Thank you.

Going to do a few things over the winter, epecially replacing the rear lights, refitting the rear panel and a general tidy up. Got a Momo wheel to put on too.

And then for comfort and reliability I have this for winter....

VRS or monte carlo? I used to have a mk1 vrs in black and got a mk2 octavia vrs after that. Both nice cars but had more problems with them than my 133 and the dealers were utter pants! Ideal combo though you have there

This is a Monte Carlo, the 1.2 TSI engine which is supposed to be the better of the smaller petrol ones. I used to have a MK1 VRS a few years ago and I liked it. It's got 2 1/2 years warrantee left so hopefully all the problems happen in that time!

I was toying a while ago with the idea of having a Fabia Monte Carlo as a daily and having a weekend toy too but I think the cost of running two cars was a tad much for me at the mo. How are you finding the Fab? I was looking into the 1.6TDI but I thought the engine line up didn't look that great, if only they offered something a bit more powerful in them.

It's ok mate, comfortable and good on fuel whilst looking good and being cheap on insurance.

I'm single so I can afford both cars at the moment lol
