Lent my car to the wife this week and what a surprise she's kerbed both front wheels.

Just wondering if anyone has any ideas to fix/cover etc.

My thought is to have the polished alloy sprayed white leaving the blue inserts..

Gutted.....

Sand paper

They come in different grades. 200-400 being regular kinda stuff you find in a hardware store and you'll probably find 3000 will be the best finishing grade. Work you're way up pretty much. I wouldn't imagine for most damage you'll need less than 800 if you build up some paint on it first

There's plenty of guides about on the net for it if you google

As the Gordini alloys have a polished finish, any sanding marks would show through the clear laquer, hence a fine grit (2000) as mentioned by jra3d to blend the finish into the machined lip. For a painted finish, 800 grit will leave a finish smooth enough to not show sanding marks through the paint, but rough enough to allow the paint to stick

You could easily get 200 up to 800 grade wet and dry from any motor factors but 2000 and above would probably need ordering online unless a local body shop has some... Or I could post you a sheet ;)

If your thinking of replacing them or getting then done professionally what's the harm in trying yourself ;)

"THANKS for whoever added the before pic!"
