Inner Tie rod / tracking rod

I need to change my inner Tie rods as the joints are worn but I can't find any specific advice on the process. Had anyone done this before and have any advice? I will be changing the tie rod ends too as they are seized, I've done this before on other cars and is quite straight forward. Sent...

Remove mirror covers and fog light surrounds

Hi, After having to do this recently I thought I'd post up how to do this. I have a Twingo RS 133 2009 model. wing mirror cover To remove this you need to remove the glass and you will see 4 tabs which hold the cover on. You need to push them down and then pull the cover off. I found using 4...

    Aux belt bearing failure

Euro car parts do stock one but want more for just the tensioner than Renault charge for the kit! Try Renault parts direct website too, they have good prices.

    Uprated clutch for 133

Has anyone found an uprated clutch for the 133? I can find lots for the 1.2 but none for the 1.6. Is the standard Renault one ok if you have had power increases?

    Aux belt bearing failure

I had to replace my aux belt tensioner recently as it started making noses. I found the the only place that sold the tensioner at a reasonable price was Mister-auto. Or go direct to Renault if you want the kit as you won't get it much cheaper else where.

It was 126bhp before and 135.9bhp after. Cant remember the torque figures but massive dip around 2500 which they removed.

    K-tec performance pack

Hi all, Got my 133 remapped with k-tec and it was well worth the money, the car feels so much smoother and does not feel like it is struggling. Really noticeable in the midrange. Managed to get an extra 10bhp from it as well!

Advanced EX for Renault and Torq pro

Just an FYI it does not work, although it says tested in cars with the k4m engine it picks up none of the sensors in the 133.

    Water Gauge Install

Easiest way is to get a Bluetooth obd reader and torque app for your phone. If you can get the rs monitor then you can get temperature reading with that.

    Aux belt tensioner

Well gone to the garage and booked it in with them as they told me the engine needs to be lifted / lowered slightly for this job.

    What is this?

Been servicing the car and just wondered what this is, looks like some kind of breather hose for the gear box.

    Aux belt tensioner

Does any one know how to replace it, I have managed to get tools to fit in the gap to undo the bolt but as far as I can tell it is too big to remove. Does the engine have to be lifted or dropped? Any help would be greatly appreciated. :-)

    Custom tool

I am just going to buy a whole new arm with the ball joint. I can't have my car off the road too long and I can't risk not getting it finished. When I get the old one off I will have a play with getting the joint out. Got myself a cheap welder from aldi so I will prob end up doing the...

    "How to" for annual service?

Take off the cover (might need a small screwdriver to help get the clips off) Then just pull it out. Getting it back in is more difficult, it has to be squeezed in slightly by tucking it in and around part of the pipes in the way.

    esso

From what I have read there is only one fuel additive that does anything, its PEA, a nitrogen based one. This is what shell put in their v-power. It won't clean out your engine with one fill but long term use will help to keep things cleaner.

    "How to" for annual service?

All very simple, oil and filter change is the same as in most cars. Air filter is just the screws on the box cover. Spark plugs can be got at by removing the coils, 1 bolt and pull, and then you can get to the plugs with a socket, extension bar and a flexible joint. The cabin filter is the most...
