Looks good! Standard 250 turbo? I imagine you went with stand-alone ecu for this one?

The engine and gearbox are from a crashed Trophy with 15000 km. Yes, i installed a stand alone ecu with complete new wiring and programed the software for it.
 
Had the megane calipers machined down to make them fit perfectly over the 280mm standard disc. I’ll probably give them another coat of paint as they got a little damaged from clamping them.

Progress on mapping the car is going good, but there’s a small problem that’s delaying it. Power wise it’s hit the target I wanted, hopefully the issue will be resolved soon. Excited to drive it once it’s done though!

Last run was 252/270, think Chris will give it another run after and possibly up the boost a little more. Don’t want too much yet as I think it may end up just spinning the wheels! Need to use it for a while and check for wear in parts etc etc. But have to wait and see.
 
Looks good mate. I have traction problems too, it spins at 4th gear on autobahn. I think i have 450-500 nm of torque. I have deactivated my variable intake camshaft, i need catcams camshaft without variable timing, do you have experience with it?
 
Mines on standard 225 camshafts at the moment, which don’t run any VVT, maybe you could run these camshafts instead and program the sensor out? I believe people modify the clio 172 cams to go in the 225 engines too, they’re more aggressive so that could also be an option for you.

I’m yet to drive mine so not sure if/when it will spin, running less torque than yours though.

Are the measurements the same? Between 3000-5000 it goes like crazy, but over 5000 rpm i notice less power. With 10 degrees advance i measured from 100 to 200 13 seconds.
 
I’m not 100% sure on measurements between the 225/250 cams. Possibly you could get on the RSMegane forum and someone would have more knowledge of the engine? I guess the torque would come down a bit after 5000 but not loads.

Thanks for the info. I was racing against a friend yesterday, he has a Seat cupra with 265 hp. We pull at 100 kmh, i ran away 3-4 cars till 250 kmh.
 
So considering I don’t have the car back yet, I’ve not had many things to do. But at least it gave me the chance to paint the calipers. Colour coded to the car now!

I’ll paint the pipes black most likely, and paint the rear ones once I’ve got the car back.

Yeah should definitely be there this year with it mate! Got plenty to do to it before then though

That’s crazy! Ever Tested the top speed?

I might want to put a meg3rs Engine in too so is there any more info on the build anywhere?

Got the car back yesterday. Was a long four hour drive! Car went really well when I got to EFI on a test run. Final figures were 252 bhp and 272 ft/lbs

However a little bit into the journey it developed an issue. First thought it was a misfire problem, but after swapping out some bits I don’t think it is anymore.

It seems like an ESP/traction issue, possibly causing it to cut the engine out and go into ‘limp mode’, so couldn’t really go above 3k revs the whole way home!

Hoping to resolve it shortly though!
