Handbrake off - light faded but still on.

Hi all,

My handbrake light has decided to not turn off. The handbrake itself is definitely off but the light is staying on, its faded but on.

Anybody any idea?

Could be worth checking your brake fluid level although this normally has a beep to go with it.

Either that or an earth?

A loose earth could cause lots of different potential issues with warning lights etc

Just checked the fluid and its full, so happy its not that.

Will start the earth investigation tomorrow!

I'm. Not sure how it's switched but it could. Also be the handbrake isn't being released fully?

I've tried again and made sure the handbrake isn't on slightly and it seems fully released. The investigation continues.

I have similar issues to this , French electronics

I started a thread somewhere , about two dim warning lights being on, there not fully lit, just dim. suspected to be an instrument cluster issue. French electrics
