I've lost the "Microwave" link :S

Will get some pictures tomorrow hopefully :)
Had a good choice to go over it with a fine tooth comb today to go digging and find any issues - unfortunately I found a few but HOPEFULLY, not too many :)

Mmmmmmm, peri port :)

Unfortunately, she's been in the ICU with some ECU issues (see what I did there), so I've not have the chance to get it cleaned and out for some pics :(

It is LOUD, but not Peri port loud and isn't Rotary :p

Well, this has been quiet...and probably still will be for a while because it has yet MORE issues, but I'll at least give you some pics :)

So, I bought a 1985 Toyota Levin Coupe (Kouki).
It's had a fair bit of work done to it in terms of rust prevention, added bits and widened steel arches.

Been a bit of a tough story this one

Picked it up on August 15th. Took a flight out from Edinburgh to Belfast and then drove it from Belfast to Larne for the ferry to Cairnryan, then to Stranraer to tax it and back home to Clackmannan.

It had the annoying mechanical chime over 100kmph which did my head in and a fair missfire from 6.8 to 7.5 and was just running a bit shit.
The power steering rack was completely gone and 2 of the wheels were buckled...good start :(

Tried to start it on Monday morning and it failed me. 3 Days Driven.
Had an individual COP conversion on the OE ECU which causes load of issues so an engine re-wire, new ECU, S-86 dizi relocation kit and magnecor custom lead set later, she sparked up.

After that, I got the rack pulled out for an AW11 manual rack and the engine started death rattle like a goodun :( think it was just oil starvation after sitting for too long but who knows, fecked now. Total - 5 Days Driven.

Plan is to get a 20v in to replace the current one and rebuild the current one properly in the winter - Head Cleanup, Cams, Rods, Pistons.

I've got a load of parts waiting to go in it - Shifter rebuild, Cusco Catch Can, Dash Lights, Replacement Switch Plate for heater controls and then I can start enjoying it again :p

I'll keep this updated as much as I can :)

I like the longchamps but the fitment was pretty weak and wanted some wide 15s, at least until I could look at getting them straightened - one is bent to 10-12mm deflection :(

A couple of older pics while it was on the XR4s.

Thats got potential to cause more harm than good. Expanded mesh tends to crack at the corners of the holes. Join up a few cracks and you could end up with a piece going through the engine. Assuming that you intend to sandwich it between the body and rampipe, you can probably discount the effective length of the rampipe as there will be so much reflection from the mesh.

This was speced tight enough and thin enough to remain flexible and pliable. The holes were punched and then widened and there is a compressive/adhesive layer between the body and the ram pipe.
It ran brilliantly while it was on it :)

Temporary until I get the ITG Sausage filter set up.

Cheers for all your kind words guys.

The engine will be with me next Thursday so hopefully have some fresh pics and maybe vids next weekend :)
A belt change before it goes in and a fluid change once it is in and should be good to go again :D

I can get back to tinkering.

Priorities once on running:
1. Engine oil, Fuel Filter and Coolant change + Fuel system cleaner/additive. (Replace shnide-no make catch can with Cusco and Braided Lines)
2. Gear shift rebuild, Gearbox and Diff oil change.
3. Alignment.
4. Dashboard Bulbs - Green LED.
5. Diagnose Faulty Electric Mirrors.
6. Replace Heater Control plate (existing one is cracked :( )
7. Replace Number plate bulbs and reverse bulb.
8. Have wiper arms welded for modern hook fitment.

Cleaned up and wrapped the manifold while it was out the car. Turns out it had been hacked up a bit to make it fit...

Horrible itchy stuff!!!
A combination of Tomei Wrap and DEI Titanium.
